This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid is all-new. The main difference between it and all other Camry models is that it has a gasoline/electric hybrid powertrain that is able to provide exceptional fuel economy. The Camry Hybrid also benefits from the 2007 Camry full redesign, as well.

Pros:
  • Roomy cabin, efficient hybrid powertrain, stronger acceleration than many regular four-cylinder family sedans.
Cons:
  • More expensive than most other Camry styles, small trunk.

  • Almost Perfect - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

We purchased the Camry hybrid in hopes of saving lots of money at the pump. We have done that and then some with the rising of gas prices. The features (Bluetooth, navigation, instrumentation, etc) are far beyond what we are used to in a car. The car has held to between 36-38 mpg in the San Antonio area. We do a lot of stop and go and some highway for 10-50 miles at a time. It is neat to watch your progress on the huge screen the camry provides in dash. I only wish the Bluetooth was a little better as far as picking up your voice. You have to be very quiet to have a normal conversation but it does the job. We also received the $2600 tax credit for being one of the first to purchase.

  • Quiet and comfortable luxury - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

We purchased our hybrid two weeks ago. So far it is a very comfortable car with a very quiet ride. We got 34 mpg with mostly city/short drives on our first tank of gas. We expect to get better after the car is broken in. We went from a 2000 Civic to a fully loaded Camry. We wanted a luxury car without compromising gas mileage. So far so good. Dont think we could have made a better choice, but will write again in about 4 months to see if we still like the car as much as we do now.

I bought my 2007 Camry hybrid used a little over a year ago. Hands down the best car Ive ever had. Its quiet, smooth and has all the power youll ever need. With the CVT transmission theres no shifting. Most people think hybird = no power. Im 51 years old and this car has as much power as any that Ive ever owned. I bought my Camry with 59,000 miles on it. It now has 78,000 miles on it. Ive only had 1 problem. It didnt start at 20 below zero. I cant wait to see how long my brakes last. I was told 200,000 to 300,000 miles they look great so far. Oh I almost forgot I get between 38 to 41 mpg March though November and about 35 to 38 mpg in the winter.

  • 600 + miles per tank - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Im old and slow on the freeway, rarely going over 70 mph. Thus, Ive been getting 43/44 mpg to/from /San Diego/ Los Angeles. If I tell Toyota how much were enjoying their Camry Hybrid, theyll raise the price!

  • Excellent Choice - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

The car is very nice! Im coming out of an 01 Acura TL & was very skeptical about "downgrading" to a Camry, but I was pleasantly surprised. This car is very nice inside & out (the leather is nicer than what was in my 01 TL). I got it fully loaded w/ nav & all the options. I am VERY pleased w/ the Camry hybrid & the great value it presents (37.5 MPG, mixed driving).

  • From Luxurious Phaeton to TCH - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

The TCH has delivered. It took some getting use to, since I previously owned a VW Phaeton with every feature and a 335 HP engine. Thus far, I have been pleasantly surprised by the way it handles in the rain. I had to adjust my driving style to maximize the MPG capability. I have averaged 40+ MPG overall since obtaining the vehicle. It looks like during the cold months, 37-38 MPG. I have a rattle in the dash currently... nuts! One of the things I like best is the TCH looks like other Camrys. If you want to stand out for whatever reason, this car is not for you. If you want to save money, help the environment and reduce dependence on foreign oil, I would suggest consideration of the TCH!

Great looks. Great mileage (better than advertised on the road). Great ride.

A very impressive auto. Have driven over a week, 550 miles on one tank, 36-37 MPG, mostly highway. All the fuel saving feedback really has an effect on how you drive, which is a positive for me--I was something of a leadfoot. Leather seats are quite comfortable. Plenty of room, even with sunroof, for tall driver. Quiet on freeway, and particularly at lower speeds; it starts nearly silently. Good sound system adjusts to what road noise there is. Just as much pickup as my 2000 Accord SE 4 cyl.; no problem keeping up on highway. Bluetooth is cool; so is nav, but still learning how to use it. Really a technologically impressive vehicle for $30K. At least as cool as my relatives Lexus.

Great car, with surprising power and amenities. I was hesitant to purchase a hybrid, but am very happy and pleased with my choice of brand. I would recommend this car to anyone.

  • Awesome Car! - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Its been almost 2 months since Ive owned the Camry Hybrid. Ive been getting an average of 37 mpg after 4 fill-ups. This car has all the features and technology that you can find only in luxury cars like Lexus and Acura. Ive changed my driving style since I started driving it. I no longer put the pedal to the metal on green lights, I drive at the speed limit and I try to use electric only whenever possible. Also, I started to laugh at the big fat SUVs and how much gas theyre wasting as the speed past me. :)
